US Embassy to open fall semester Visa appointments for Indian students from June 14
The United States Embassy has recently tweeted that they will start the processing of visa appointments from June 14 for Indian students who have gotten admission to universities in the USA for the fall semester.
The US Embassy is aiming at facilitating students in travelling to the United States in time for the August/ September semester. Thus, the processing of visa applications will begin from June 14, and will likely end in the month of August 2021.
The US Embassy and the Indian consulate will be opening tens of thousands of visa interview slots for Indian students from Monday. Students have been asked to schedule their appointments for the interview through the official website of the embassy.
Students who are aspiring to study abroad and have gotten admission to US universities must review their I-20 program start date before the VISA interview. They must also travel to the United States up to 30 days before the programme start date.
Students continuing with their studies in the United States can resume their programs on or after August 1 and travel 30 days before their program resumption date. The embassy said that they are unable to approve expedited requests for fall 2021 students with appointments in July or August.
Students who are seeking additional information regarding the visa application process can visit the website ustravledocs.com. Students can also contact the US embassy at 1-888-407-4747 from the United States or 1-202-501-4444 from India.
All students must note that they will need to submit a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of their departure to the United States.
