Establishment of four Oxygen Generating Plant in Kolar District: Arvind Limbavali
Kolar: Four oxygen production plants will be set up in the Kolar district, said Minister of State for Kolar District Arvind Limbayawali.
Speaking to The New Indian Express, Arvind Limbayawali said all four oxygen production plants will be set up under the sponsorship of CSR.
The District Collector Selvamani is cooperating with us in a good way, ”Limbawali said. The Israeli-based plant was set up at the KGF General Hospital about a month ago, giving patients the benefit, he said.
Dr. Selvamani said oxygen units will be installed on priority basis. Two of the four plants provided by the GMR authorities (airport) will be installed at Srinivasapura and Mulabagali. Wistron Corporation will set up a third US-based NG-based unit at Mallur and Bangarpet Hospital.
All these oxygen plants are capable of providing oxygen to 100 beds, Selvamani said. He added that some companies are coming forward to provide health kits. He said the rate of covid positivity in the Kolar district is below 2.5% and is expected to decline further.
